Katie Landreville Roland, Chorus Manager

Katie is originally from Minnesota where she earned a B.A. in Music and Arts Administration from Gustavus Adolphus College. While attending school, Katie was the section leader and first chair bassoonist for the Gustavus Symphony Orchestra and the Gustavus Wind Orchestra. She served as Social Chairperson for the Gustavus Symphony Orchestra, was selected to perform for the Gustavus Senior Honors Recital, and was a featured concerto soloist for the Gustavus Wind Orchestra 2015 Midwest Tour.

Outside of school, Katie has played with many ensembles throughout her musical career including the Greater Twin Cities Youth Symphony, the Davis Symphony Orchestra, and various honor bands and pit orchestras. She also co-founded the High Five Wind Quintet, which performed for the King and Queen of Sweden in 2012. Katie has been the Chorus Manager for the Peninsula Girls Chorus since the fall of 2016. On the side, she teaches private bassoon, clarinet, and ukulele lessons through Grace Notes Music School and plays for several churches and pit orchestras around the Bay Area.

Additionally, Katie has held several positions tied to her Arts Administration studies including serving as Assistant Tour Manager and Promoter for the Gustavus Symphony Orchestra 2015 Washington D.C. Tour, helping as a Teacher’s Assistant for Dr. Lin’s FTS Film Music class, and completing an Arts Administration Internship at the Banfill-Locke Center for the Arts in Fridley, MN.

Besides having a strong passion for the arts, Katie’s interests also include crafting fun cocktails, leading her to receive a certificate in Bartending/Mixology. She is loving her life in California which she shares with her husband and their cat name Hazelnut. Lastly, Katie is relieved that she no longer has to shovel snow in the winter!

Monica Sayat-Garcia, Accounting

Monica has a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting and has been working in the field for many years. She joined the church choir when she was young and knows first hand the many benefits of it. Monica’s strong knowledge of accounting and love of music makes her a great addition to the Peninsula Girls Chorus administrative staff.
