Isabella Custino
Chorus Manager

Isabella Custino is a dedicated choral conductor and music educator from the San Francisco Bay Area. She is a California-certified K–12 music teacher and holds degrees from Teachers College, Columbia University (MA in Music and Music Education) and the USC Thornton School of Music (BA in Choral Music). Isabella is also a proud alumna of PGC, where she began in Allegra under the direction of Karyn Silva.

Outside of PGC, Ms. Custino serves as Choir Director at Notre Dame Belmont. She is passionate about all-girls education and the impact of treble choirs on the global choral landscape. She also owns Isabella Nichole Studios, where she provides private voice instruction to a diverse range of students.

Throughout her career, Ms. Custino has participated in numerous distinguished choral ensembles. Most recently, she performed with the Delaware Choral Scholars at the 2024 World Choir Games in Auckland, where the ensemble earned three World Championships and achieved the #1 ranking on the INTERKULTUR world rankings. During her time at USC, she sang with the prestigious USC Chamber Singers under the direction of Dr. Jo-Michael Scheibe.

With these ensembles, Ms. Custino has performed at renowned venues including Desert Trip with The Rolling Stones, Walt Disney Concert Hall, and Carnegie Hall. Her international performance experience includes tours to Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Poland, and Italy.

Ms. Custino is also an active member of ACDA, NAfME, and OAKE. She values collaboration, mentorship, and lifelong learning within the national and international choral community.

Development Director

Kelly Ground, Peninsula Girls Chorus Development Director has possessed a lifelong passion for the arts, music and literature. Kelly is a graduate of the American Conservatory Theatre where she gained her MFA in acting and San Diego State University where she has a BA in Drama, Acting/Design.

She has been serving in education teaching acting, stage voice, musical theatre, coaching and directing in such institutions as Stanford, Cornell, Ohio Northern, locally at Cal State East Bay, Sonoma State, Contra Costa College, Diablo Valley College and in theatre programs at ACT, Marin Shakespeare and Cal Shakes. Kelly also has had an extensive performance career as a singer and actor and is a proud member of Actors' Equity Association where she also serves on the national governing board.

An almost lifelong resident in the Bay Area North Bay (Born in Yreka) she's originally from Novato but has lived all over the bay area and now resides in Cotati in Sonoma. She is an avid cook, and gardener and loves the outdoors and dogs!

She has shared her fundraising skills with small Not for Profits in establishing development and communication infrastructures and has been highly successful establishing annual fund campaigns and giving programs. She looks forward to building upon PGC's wonderful 30-year history to provide a foundation for the future and sharing news about PGC with our bay area community.

Accounting

Monica has a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting and has been working in the field for many years. She joined the church choir when she was young and knows first hand the many benefits of it. Monica's strong knowledge of accounting and love of music makes her a great addition to the Peninsula Girls Chorus administrative staff.
